“Your chances of success in any undertaking can always be measured by your belief in yourself.” ~ Robert Collier
As women, our emotions are always up and down and most times and this has a lot to do with how or what we feel of ourselves. As much as we have to build and uplift others, I also believe in building one self and making sure that you are the best version of yourself by knowing who you are, your worth and your identity. This is not to say that you have to be perfect and all; I am only saying that you should also matter to yourself to be able to invest in yourself.
As a Christian, part of my ongoing growth is discovering who God created me to be, learning and understanding my strengths and also discovering my weaknesses and being able to work on myself to become the best that I can be.
One of the most comforting verses in the Bible for me says. “Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” ~ 2 Cor. 12:10
This is a reminder that sometimes, it is Ok to have weaknesses, this does not mean that I am weak as a person, but rather that through Christ I am made strong and given the ability to overcome these weaknesses. I have learnt to acknowledge my weaknesses knowing that I have an all-powerful God who sees absolute beauty and perfection and He will never leave me nor forsake me. I am imperfectly perfect. Don’t let a person, a bad day or certain situation bring you down. Believe in yourself; then and only then will you see breakthrough.
Do you know that the most important opinion there is of you is one by you and your Father above. ‘It don’t matter what others think of you baby’.
Now onto the look of the day. I don’t know about you but when I wear something, I make sure that I feel confident. Exactly what I was feeling when I put on this cute number.
Wearing a denim skirt doesn’t have to be boring and it doesn’t only have to be casual. Whether currently in trend or not, I believe a denim skirt should be a wardrobe staple because it can be worn in any aesthetic – casual, relaxee, classy and the list goes on.
This denim skirt if a favourite of mine and I find it very easy to just pull out and wear it anyhow. I usually go for a casual and relaxed look; only this time I decided to pair it with heels. I wanted simple, but also classy, so I put on some heels, a shiny top and a large floppy hat of course. This look is perfect for a date night or even a Girl’s night out.
In all, stay confident and true to yourself. Take on those weaknesses, ‘soldier on’ and remember to believe in yourself a little more.
